I have bad news and good news…
The bad news is that New Jersey is really sticking out like a sore thumb — it’s just one of only SEVEN states in the entire country that STILL levy sales taxes on your purchases of gold and silver.
The good news is that the New Jersey Assembly just voted unanimously 74-0, to end this tax in the state. However, we need your help to get this across the finish line in the Senate…
Almost identical to a bill that passed in Mississippi recently, Senate bill 1825 would end sales taxes on the purchase of precious metals in New Jersey.
The bill was referred to the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, but has yet to be scheduled for a hearing…
That’s why we need your immediate help….
Please contact these committee member ASAP and urge them to vote YES on S1825 when it comes time for a vote.

43 states have already declared that taxing gold and silver is wrong.
Current New Jersey law penalizes savers with taxation for protecting the purchasing power of their money with the monetary metals.
…and the same time, EVERY state surrounding New Jersey (Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania) have cultivated pro-sound money environments, eliminating sales taxes on gold and silver.
If these bills fail, New Jersey businesses will be harmed… to say nothing of the average saver, pensioner, and taxpayer.
This is urgent. Please CALL and EMAIL the members of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee right away and urge them to vote YES on S1825 IMMEDIATELY.
More than $30 trillion in debt, America’s inflationary policies have put everyone at risk. This bill would ensure a major disincentive in the way of saving wealth in real money, i.e. gold and silver, is eliminated.
Respectfully,
Jp Cortez, Policy Director

P.S. Please contact Senate committee members TODAY and urge them to vote yes on S1825 to free the monetary metals of sales taxes in New Jersey. Please include your name and city in this email!Gold and silver are money, and they should not be taxed in New Jersey! Thank you for helping us defeat these taxes.
