Collectors of all things space-related can now compete within the PCGS Set Registry by building an Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Commemorative coin set. This set is comprised of eight coins released by the U.S. Mint in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the, history-making, Moon landing on July 20, 1969. Seven out of the eight coins from this series are concaved coins. This is only the second time in the U.S. Mint’s 227-year history of minting coins that concaved coins have been produced. The eighth and final coin of the series is an enhanced reverse proof Kennedy Half Dollar only available as part of a two-coin set which includes the proof version of the Apollo Half Dollar.
