The minutes were read and accepted to an attendance of eleven members and two guests.
An interesting topic of the future of cash, card transactions and digital use of money were discussed with various opinions.
Morgan and Peace silver dollars were represented with a complete set of Peace dollars as well as slabbed Morgan dollars. A member displayed an 1800’s proof-like example. A silver quarter was found in circulation by another member, which shows that silver is still out there and for us to keep looking through our loose change. Other items shown were a 1962 slabbed Franklin half and a 1934 National Park stamp traced from FDR’s collection.
Our next meeting is May 21st and the subjects will be: (1) U.S. and foreign coins, (2) proof sets from U.S. and Canada.
