Fifteen members and guests attended our last meeting of the year. It has been a promising start for our club and we look forward to another successful new year.
The program featured Morgan silver dollars and other collectibles. A variety of these historic pieces included dollars of the Carson City Mint from the 1972 release of the United States Mint’s vault holdings, which were mail auctions for the public, to bid on pre-priced CC coins, and also other examples of different dates and mints. Other collectibles were; model WWII aircraft that took part at Pearl Harbor, a Bakelite Radio, unusual swords, ceramic banks, toy trucks. and novelty bullets with various uses. We celebrated our first seasonal holiday party with delicious sandwiches ordered by Phil, drinks provided by members and a pudding filled whipped cream cake donated by Paul and Anita. Thanks to all who help set up for the meeting.
Phil read a letter from the director of the River Vale Library, thanking us for the fifty dollar donation to help with their future plans. A raffle was held during the break to help support our needs.
The next meeting will be held on TUESDAY, JANUARY 17, due to Monday being a holiday, and the program will be, TOKENS OF ALL KINDS AND COINS FROM FRANCE, and other items of interest.
